Art Therapy for Individuals


Meet with Catherine one on one for an online Art Therapy session. Sessions are 50 or 80 minutes and facilitated through a secure video conferencing platform. During the session, I'll listen as you tell me about the challenges you're facing and what you would like to

gain from our time together. Then I'll work with you to come up with a plan that will be most helpful for you and your needs. I can guide you in art making, mindfulness exercises, yoga, and self-compassion practices that help lower stress and anxiety, relieve depression, manage physical pain, restore energy, and more. Together, we can use any combination

of these tools or sometimes none of them. I can simply listen. My wish is for you to feel

empowered to guide how we spend our time together and to choose

what will be the most helpful for you.

The idea behind these monthly offerings is to create a space to learn about and practice mindfulness in ways that may be a little more easeful and approachable than sitting still in formal meditation. Participants will be led in multiple opportunities to practice mindful attention through art making, movement, meditation, and journaling, and each month, these practices will be centered around a specific topic or intention. Regular practice in mindfulness can have profound benefits in mental and physical health and overall well-being. By providing this space to try out different aspects of mindfulness, the aim is to ultimately find a practice that works well for you. 


*No experience with art making, mindful movement, meditation, or

journaling is necessary to participate. 


**Bring your own art materials to use during this workshop. Prompts for art making

can be adapted to whatever you have on hand.
